WEEKLY RECIPE: Breakfast (or anytime) Oatmeal Bars

This is an easy recipe to make homemade granola bars that can be stored and eaten throughout your week!

Breakfast (or anytime) Oatmeal Bars

Recipe adapted from Suburban Simplicity

16 Servings

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Oil
  • ¼ Cup Molasses
  • ¼ Cup Applesauce
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Cups Old Fashioned Oats
  • 2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour (Or Other Flour)
  • ½ cup Dried Fruit (i.e. Raisins)

Directions

  1. Mix together oil, applesauce and molasses
  2. Mix eggs, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and vanilla extract into oil mixture
  3. Fold in flour, oats and dried fruit
  4. Grease an 8X8 baking dish
  5. Spread ingredient mixture into the baking dish
  6. Bake bars for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees
