Current Openings
Development Director of Institutional Relationships
This full-time salaried position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by leading organizational efforts to nourish authentic and transformational relationships with institutional stakeholders, funders, and corporate volunteers, expanding and managing a robust corporate sponsorship and foundation partnership program for Open Arms. The Development Director of Institutional Relationships is responsible for creating and nourishing a program that prioritizes authentic relationships with institutions resulting in increased and sustained organizational involvement, funding, and volunteering. Reporting to the Chief Relationships Officer, the Development Director of Institutional Relationships will be responsible for supervising a unique team of staff whose mission is relationship-focused in order to meet annual revenue targets, identify and secure corporate, corporate foundation and community foundation gifts, build volunteer and involvement strategies, and steward partnerships up to six+ figures. Serves as the organization’s senior leader for all institutional partnership strategy and performance.
Logistics Associate
This is a full-time, non-exempt, and benefits-eligible position that works primarily Monday through Friday each week in the Logistics Department. The Logistics Associate is responsible for the supporting shipping, logistics and delivery operations as needed. This position will be expected to champion Open Arms’ use of efficient and innovative delivery methods. As with all OAM staff positions, this position is responsible for helping ensure volunteers and interns have
an exemplary experience during all interactions with Open Arms and is expected to consistently maintain a high level of customer service to all guests, clients, and fellow team members.
Seasonal Farm Apprenticeship
This seasonal apprenticeship contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by supporting Open Arms’ urban farm operations, including the CSA program. The Seasonal Farm Apprenticeship is a program that provides hands-on training and learning opportunities about organic farming practices, agricultural techniques, and volunteer management. Participants work directly on different farms, gaining practical experience in tasks such as planting, harvesting, and the CSA program.
Baker and Volunteer Ambassador
The Bakery is responsible for producing around 18,000 – 22,000 items per week. This is a full-time and hourly position that contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by providing assistance with food production tasks on a regular basis and occasional catering or special events. Unlike many baker positions, this position extensively interacts with the general public, and much of the job is greeting, checking in with, and thanking volunteers in the OAM kitchen. This position is a part of a team that is responsible for food safety and sanitization, overall Bakery cleanliness and organization, and management of volunteers in the Bakery.
Internship Opportunities
Open Farms Internship
The Open Farms Intern will work side by side with the Farm Program Coordinator and the farm team to complete many tasks over the course of the growing season.
Nonprofit Internship
The nonprofit intern will participate in nearly every aspect of the organization. This internship will play an integral role in the daily activities of the organization, as well as explore the inner workings of running a nonprofit.
