Development Director, Individual & Major Gifts
This full-time and salaried position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by managing the day-to-day working of the Development Department’s successful cultivation of individual and major gifts. The Development Director of Individual and Major Gifts will nurture relationships and ensure a transformational experience for the Open Arms community, resulting in the resources to provide services to clients. As a newly created role within the organization, the Development Director of Individual and Major Gifts will collaborate with the Development Director of Institutional Giving to ensure all philanthropy goals are met and is tasked with managing and growing sustainable revenue generation with a focus on individual donors and annual fund, including all campaigns, donor cultivation and stewardship, and donor relations, as well as all internal processes and outcomes of the Development Team. Includes oversight of 1 Development Department staff member. 

Events Manager
This exciting and unique full-time, salaried Manager of Events position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by creating, implementing, and managing all on-and off-site events designed to further the organization’s mission. In collaboration with the Development Director, the Manager of Events works both internally and externally to expand and manage OAM’s presence in the community through unique and highly intentional events designed to engage diverse audiences in the mission of OAM. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with our team of talented chefs, bakers, and dedicated volunteers to create one-of-a-kind events, including catering experiences through space rentals and off-site event facilitation.

Staff Accountant
Open Arms is looking for an experienced nonprofit accountant to join our team. This individual will maintain the General Ledger, processing all transactions, and ensuring all the financial operating and reporting needs of the organization are met. Duties include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, journal entries, grant accounting, assisting with budgets, managing the audit, completing monthly and year-end closing procedures, and assisting in the preparation of financial audit and 990 materials.

Production Cook
This is a full-time and benefits-eligible position in a high-volume production kitchen that prepares and packages ready-to-eat meals. Working as part of a team, the Production Cook is responsible for food preparation, kitchen safety and sanitization, and overall kitchen cleanliness and organization. 

Volunteer Engagement Coordinator
This full-time, hourly position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by engaging and retaining OAM volunteers primarily in our kitchen, but also in our partner kitchen the Kitchen of Opportunities (KOO), and primarily in our St Paul Kitchen in 2023. This position promotes an impactful experience and nourishing community and ensures a dependable and enthusiastic population to support daily organizational needs. As the first line of face-to-face communication, this is a critical position responsible for providing customer service in the OAM building and at KOO primarily in the kitchen and at the delivery desk. Additionally, the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is a primary vehicle for messaging to and from volunteers and is an integral part of the overall fundraising strategy at OAM. There is a very high level of customer service and hospitality expected from this position. Working with the Database Specialist, this position will assist in database projects to create processes for users and ensure the database information is up to date. Once Community Outreach is up and going again, this person will coordinate those events with volunteers.

Client Services Associate Bilingual – Hmong 
This full-time and non-exempt position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by providing the highest level of customer service to the Open Arms clients. This position is primarily responsible for daily communication with clients, including intake, onboarding, and re-certification of clients, as well as facilitating ongoing scheduling and delivery changes, and helping to ensure deliveries to clients are accurate and timely. The Client Services Associate will maintain communication with referral sources, collect and maintain information for client records, and document the services provided by the organization.

Food Services Worker
This is an hourly full-time and benefits-eligible position in a high-volume production kitchen.  Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Food Services Worker will set up the packing line and gather all components necessary to complete packaging of meals, while ensuring quality and consistency of our meals as they move through the packaging process (the packaging of meals is mainly completed by volunteers). The Food Services Worker must maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and ensure that volunteers are doing the same.

Delivery Driver and Logistics Associate
This full-time position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by supporting the Delivery and Logistics department. This position is primarily responsible for delivering meals to program clients, satellite partners, catering clients and organizational partners, and acting as a liaison between Open Arms and our satellite delivery teams. This position will also provide general Logistics Department support, including activities that assist with setting up or preparing for client deliveries.

Internship Opportunities

Nonprofit Internship
The nonprofit intern will participate in nearly every aspect of the organization. This internship will play an integral role in the daily activities of the organization, as well as explore the inner workings of running a nonprofit.

Open Farms Internship
The Open Farms Intern will work side by side with the Farm Program Coordinator and the farm team to complete many tasks over the course of the growing season.

Special Events & Development Nonprofit Internship
The Special Events & Development nonprofit intern will participate in nearly every aspect of the Organization. This internship will play an integral role in the daily activities of the Organization, as well as explore the inner workings of running a nonprofit.
