Chief People Officer
The Chief People Officer contributes to the mission of Open Arms by overseeing organizational hospitality and culture and leading all human resources and human capital functions of the organization. These functions include diversity, equity and inclusion, talent acquisition and retention, employee and leadership development, investment in culture and hospitality, volunteer engagement and performance management. The CPO provides oversight and direction to the HR Team and collaborates with the Volunteer Engagement Department, ensuring that all are aligned in ensuring a superior environment and culture in a highly relational, unique, fast-paced organization. In addition, the CPO will ensure HR compliance is achieved through pragmatic leadership policies and practices. The CPO will build trust and effective relationships with all leaders and staff members, demonstrating a proactive and accountable team-oriented approach to addressing the opportunities and challenges of the organization.
Chief Financial Officer
This full-time, salaried position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by leading the financial strategy for a unique organization with a highly relational culture. The CFO ensures OAM has the financial leadership and resources to readily support and accomplish its organizational mission. This position also leads IT, and other administrative systems for the organization, and directly supervises two staff members.
Senior Manager of Client Services
This full-time, salaried position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by overseeing the operational success of the Open Arms client program and ensuring that client programs meet the needs of our clients. The Sr. Manager of Client Services will oversee and administer ongoing programming including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, evaluating, and controlling the activities of the Client Services Department. This position will oversee approximately 7 full-time and part-time staff members, as well as interns and volunteers.
Senior Manager of Nutrition
The Senior Manager of Nutrition contributes to the mission of Open Arms by ensuring clients receive the highest quality services from OAM nutrition staff. The Senior Manager of Nutrition Services is responsible for enhancing the existing nutrition program, overseeing department operations, implementing the goals and objectives of the strategic plan, developing, and implementing policies and procedures, and measuring client satisfaction and program efficacy as they relate to the nutrition aspects of OAM’s mission. This position supervises 3 staff, as well as interns and volunteers. As with all OAM staff positions, this position is responsible for helping ensure volunteers and interns have an exemplary experience during all interactions with Open Arms and is expected to consistently maintain a high level of customer service to all guests, clients, and fellow team members.
Senior Manager of Delivery and Logistics
This full time, salaried, benefits-eligible position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by leading the delivery strategy, execution, and overall management of our delivery, distribution, planning, fleet management, and routing systems. This position is accountable to lead key segments of our outbound and inbound supply chain management including carrier and vendor negotiations and business process improvements. Initially, there will be heavy involvement in process improvement directed towards routing, planning, and development of standard operating procedures. The Sr. Manager of Delivery and Logistics ensures that client meals arrive at the homes of nearly 2000 clients every week, manages the agency’s delivery and shipping programs, including assembly of meal packages for daily deliveries, routing, meal distribution by volunteers, delivery and/or shipping to clients, the movement of product between kitchens, and distribution of product from the warehouse. This Sr. Manager will be expected to provide guidance on the expansion of our shipping operation, build processes and plans to make staff deliveries more efficient, champion Open Arms’ use of efficient and innovative delivery methods and cultivate strong relationships with outside satellite and delivery partners. The Sr. Manager supervises multiple staff members, interns, and volunteers.
Kitchen Floor Manager (St. Paul)
This is a 40-hour-per-week, benefits-eligible position in a high-volume production kitchen preparing and packaging ready-to-eat meals. Working as part of a team at Open Arms of Minnesota – St. Paul campus, the Kitchen Floor Manager is responsible for working with staff and volunteers to ensure the accurate packaging of our made-from-scratch meals. The Kitchen Floor Manager will oversee the daily meal packaging, ensuring efficiency and volunteer engagement through proper distribution of tasks. The Kitchen Floor Manager is responsible for managing a team of packaging associates, overseeing the volunteer meal packaging shifts, kitchen safety, sanitization, and organization.
Volunteer Engagement & Groups Coordinator (St. Paul)
This full-time, hourly position contributes to the fulfillment of Open Arms’ mission by engaging and retaining OAM volunteers primarily in our kitchen, promoting an impactful experience and nourishing community, and ensuring a dependable and enthusiastic population to support daily organizational needs. This position is the first line of face-to-face communication and as such is a critical person responsible for providing customer service in the OAM building, primarily in the kitchen and at the delivery desk. Additionally, the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is a primary vehicle of messaging to and from volunteers and is an integral part of the overall fundraising strategy at OAM. There is a very high level of customer service and hospitality expected from this position, and most of the work hours are spent interacting face-to-face with the public.
Food Services Worker (St. Paul)
This is an hourly full-time and benefits-eligible position in a high-volume production kitchen. Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, the Food Services Worker will set up the packing line and gather all components necessary to complete the packaging of meals, while ensuring the quality and consistency of our meals as they move through the packaging process, and also engages with and helps direct our volunteers, who complete most of the packaging of meals. This role is perfect for an individual who has experience in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment and also loves people! The Food Services Worker must maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and ensure that volunteers are doing the same.
Chef and Volunteer Ambassador
This is a full-time and benefits-eligible position in a high-volume production kitchen preparing and packaging ready-to-eat meals. Working as part of a team, the Production Cook is responsible for food preparation, kitchen safety and sanitization, and overall kitchen cleanliness and organization. This position is generally scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Schedule is subject to change depending on business needs. Reliable transportation to our St. Paul kitchen near the St. Paul municipal airport off Highway 52 is needed.
The nonprofit intern will participate in nearly every aspect of the organization. This internship will play an integral role in the daily activities of the organization, as well as explore the inner workings of running a nonprofit.
Open Farms Internship
The Open Farms Intern will work side by side with the Farm Program Coordinator and the farm team to complete many tasks over the course of the growing season.
Special Events & Development Nonprofit Internship
The Special Events & Development nonprofit intern will participate in nearly every aspect of the Organization. This internship will play an integral role in the daily activities of the Organization, as well as explore the inner workings of running a nonprofit.
