Friends with Benefits was created by chef/owner of Chilango, Jorge Guzmán, in 2023 as a way to cook with friends whom he rarely sees and gave him an opportunity to give back to the community at the same time. Chef has invited some of the most notable chefs in the country to Minneapolis to just “hang out” and cook together all the while donating all the proceeds to charity. If you ask him he’ll say, “Selfishly I just wanted to cook with chefs I really admire and look up too and wouldn’t have a chance to otherwise” and what a better way to raise awareness for charity and give back.

What better way to celebrate community, food, and giving back?

We encourage everyone to attend if they are able in support of The Aliveness Project, The House Foundation, and Open Arms.
