2/16/12 UPDATE:
We’re singing the praises of VocalPoint! Jennifer Anderson, artistic director and conductor of VocalPoint, delivered $17,366 to Open Arms today.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to the all the folks that made the VocalPoint concerts possible this weekend and to the 800 attendees who gave so generously. The 70-member chorus put on a beautiful, poignant program tailored to the mission of Open Arms. Special thanks goes to Jennifer and the steering committee for their dedication to showing audiences the work we do!
Savor the riveting and emotional music of VocalPoint, a 70-voice auditioned choir, as it presents its inaugural concerts.
You’ll hear top-notch choral music, featuring Maria Jette, MPR’s Steve Staruch, KrisAnne Weiss, the DrumHeart Drum Ensemble and a display from the National AIDS Quilt. Our very own Kent Linder is also part of the choir!
Ranging from light-hearted songs about food to songs honoring those who have died too young, the music is sure to engage and inspire you.
