| Open Arms staff changes
Dear friends, The Open Arms board of directors and Tim Reardon have come to a mutual agreement, and Tim is leaving Open Arms. We appreciate Tim’s service and wish him well as he moves on to his next opportunity. Mike Venker, board vice-chair, will serve as Interim Executive Director, while a search is conducted to fill the position permanently. As a board member and a committed volunteer, Mike brings a deep understanding of Open Arms and its mission and has the full support of the board. In addition, Mike has extensive business experience in the food industry, most recently operating a division of Cargill. Mike retired from Cargill last November and has volunteered to lead Open Arms through this transition. As always, our focus remains on providing nutritious, quality meals for our clients and increasing revenue as we manage costs. Serving our clients is Open Arms’ core mission, and we are committed to preparing and delivering meals without interruption during this transition.
