RECORD CROWD ENJOYS FESTIVITIES AT TOAST!

TOAST!, Open Arms’ beloved annual volunteer appreciation event, returned with tremendous excitement and fanfare in August. More than 350 volunteers were treated to an evening of laughter, prizes, games, and of course, DELICIOUS FOOD! The event took place at the St. Paul Kitchen & Campus and served as both a celebration of and a thank you to our volunteer community. It was the largest turnout in the history of the event! Held annually, TOAST! is a special way we thank and show love to the wonderful volunteers for all they do to support our clients throughout the year.

This year’s theme, “The Perfect Pair,” set the stage for a friendly competition that honored the perfect union between Open Arms and our volunteers. The staff was divided into six different teams and were challenged to create tasty culinary pairings. While at the event, volunteers had the opportunity to taste each team’s creation before casting a vote for their favorite. When all the pairings were sampled and the polls closed, The Dip Sticks, pairing grilled carrots with whipped goat cheese and bacon jam, were crowned champion! Additionally, team Take A Little Pita My Heart came away with the grand prize for best booth décor! Thank you to all who attended TOAST!
