GIVING BACK, KATHLEEN

April is National Volunteer Month, which we proudly support through Volunteer Appreciation Week (details below). Did you know that some of our clients are also volunteers? For them, the impact of our meals is so profound that they seek opportunities to give back once they are able. Kathleen, a client in Richfield, is one such example. After Multiple Sclerosis prevented her from being a delivery driver, she tapped into her passion and expertise as a writer. With the pen as her tool, Kathleen now shares Open Arms’ story with a wider audience – writing letters and articles, and telling her story – as a way to give back to the organization she loves.
