
Here's What To Know Before You Attend Moveable Feast
We are excited to roll out the red carpet for our guests at our 21st Annual Moveable Feast – A Story of Hope: The Show Goes On playing at the historic Hollywood Theater on Thursday, May 15 from 5-10 p.m., Open Arms’ largest annual fundraising event generates vital funds to help us nourish our critically ill neighbors with medically tailored meals.
The evening opens with the paparazzi as you enter to claim your signature cocktail, more photos, a silent and live auction and some surprises at the Hollywood Theater. Then, the fun continues as you and your group are chauffeured by limousine, trolley or another fabulous vehicle to one of our partner restaurants for an unforgettable evening of drinks, dining and lively conversation!
What You Need To Know
Timeline
5:00 p.m. | Doors open; enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, bid on the unique silent auction packages, and purchase a raffle ticket for a chance to win your choice between a fabulous trip to either Tuscany or Croatia!
6:15 p.m. | Program, Live Auction, Fund-A-Need, Raffle Drawing
7:15 p.m. | Limos depart to dinner
9:30 p.m. | Limos return for one last decadent takeaway treat. Don’t forget to collect all your winnings!
Getting There and Parking
The Hollywood Theater is located in bustling Northeast Minneapolis at 2815 Johnson Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418 (MAP IT). PLEASE NOTE: There is significant road construction on Johnson Street NE between NE 18th Avenue and NE 26th Avenue, so be prepared to follow a detour if traveling to the venue north on Johnson Street NE
Complimentary valet parking will be available on-site at the Hollywood Theater. Please pull up to the front of the Hollywood Theater on Johnson Street. Upon arrival, be on the lookout for our staff and volunteers to guide you in the right direction. For those looking for self-parking, free street parking is available throughout the surrounding neighborhood.
Arrival & Check In
Check in will begin promptly at 5 p.m. Attendees will enter at the main entrance of the theater on Johnson Street. Whether you are an individual attendee or a member of a group, please see our staff at the check-in table. We strongly encourage you to REGISTER HERE ahead of time. You will also have an opportunity to register when you check in at the event, but this step will expedite the process when you arrive.
Attire
Channel the timeless elegance of Old Hollywood! Guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail attire with a touch of the dramatic — think classic Hollywood, glamorous, and festive. Above all, come dressed to shine — and ready to celebrate a night of community, compassion, and a little bit of movie magic!
Silent Auction
This year’s Silent Auction includes a number of exciting items and packages. You can bid online now and continue watching your items and bidding while you’re strolling through the event! You can enter your information and start bidding right now by CLICKING ON THIS LINK and using the same email where you received this message.
Once on the site, please click “sign in” in the upper right corner on the welcome page to register for bidding ahead of time. Please note, you will still need to stop at the check-in desk to receive all of your information to participate in the evening.
Raffle
This year’s raffle has an exciting plot twist: a choice between two extraordinary travel experiences! For just $125 per ticket, you could find yourself on a breathtaking journey to either Tuscany or Croatia, indulging in unforgettable cuisine, culture, and adventure.
Food & Beverage
The bar will be open from 5-6:10 p.m. and then again following the program until your limo departs. As you enter the Hollywood Theater, it will be our pleasure to treat you to the 2025 Moveable Feast Welcome Cocktail, the Showstopper Whiskey Sour (Mocktail: Lemon Basil Sour), and a perfect package of the cutest hors d’oeuvres. There are cash bars throughout the venue where you can purchase additional drinks.
Limo Procedure
Following the evening’s program at approximately 7:15 p.m., guests will be invited to board their respective limos to head off to one of our 40+ restaurant partners throughout the Twin Cities. Please refer to your name tag for limo number and restaurant name. Listen carefully for overhead announcements and refer to the main stage screen regarding limo departures. We will do our best to keep our limo departure times in order and on track, so thank you for your patience ahead of time.
At The Restaurant
Please remember that the restaurant dinner is hosted by our wonderfully generous restaurant partners, but gratuity for your server is your responsibility. Your first round of beer/wine will be complimentary; additional beverages are your group’s responsibility.
