A way to give that changes lives
We’ve come a long way since our founding in 1986. At that time, Open Arms’ commitment was to provide nutritious meals to a small group of men with HIV/AIDS.
Since then, we’ve prepared and delivered more than 3 million meals to men and women living with diseases such as HIV/AIDS, MS, ALS, breast cancer and more than 60 other illnesses, as well as their caregivers and dependents.
We didn’t do it alone: Our generous community of volunteers and donors has been with us every step of the way, helping us bring innovative new programs to life — from adding more meals to adding an organic vegetable garden and putting together food parcels in South Africa to putting together a state-of-the-art kitchen here in Minneapolis. All gifts, large or small, are a part of a shared vision: a world of abundance where people won’t go hungry.
There are many ways to give to Open Arms. However you do it, your gift not only counts, it directly helps put a meal on the table for someone in your community. And for that generosity, we are thankful.
