Twice the Gifts

On Monday, December 1, Open Arms will recognize World AIDS Day with the debut of a new line of beaded art from the artists of Streetwires in Cape Town. Hundreds of pieces from Monkeybiz and Streetwires – both income-empowerment projects – will be made available at Twice the Gift for this one-day sale. Join us for coffee and treats from 8am - 10am, with the first 50 guests receiving a beaded gift!

The Pohlad Family Foundation generously underwrites Twice the Gift by giving 100% of the proceeds from the sales of these gift items back to the participating Twin Cities nonprofit organizations.
Twice the Gift History
During the fall of 2007, The Pohlad Family Foundation worked with 45 interested Twin Cities nonprofits to sell their products and services during the holiday season. The store, Twice the Gift, operated for 30 days and had sales of more than $70,000. Foundation underwriting support allowed distribution of 100% of sales proceeds to participating nonprofits.
Due to the store’s success, and in response to customer and nonprofit requests, Twice the Gift continues during 2008.
All proceeds from the events benefit Open Arms' programs for people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa.
