Deliver Meals

Take nourishment and joy to our clients

From the Open Arms kitchen to our clients’ door, meal deliveries are an essential part of our organization. Delivering is the number one way to truly see the impact of our work on our clients, as you get to personally hand them delicious food and see their smile in return.

Simply sign up for a delivery route on the day of your choice. When you arrive at Open Arms, we’ll load you up with enough food for several clients in our convenient blue cooler bags. You’ll get a friendly hello from our staff as well as directions for your route. After delivering food to 3–6 clients, you’ll return the delivery bags to Open Arms and be on your way.

Meal deliveries are between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and usually take an hour or two. You can sign up to deliver to the same area every week or just fill in on an on-call basis.

Satellite Delivery: Expanding our reach through innovation

In response to the growing demands on our volunteers’ time and the rising price of gas, Open Arms is deploying an innovative new approach to deliveries.

We’re partnering with organizations and faith communities to set up satellite delivery locations that allow us to reach more clients and get more people involved with our work than ever before.

Here’s how it works: Once a week, we deliver enough food for several routes to the satellite delivery location. The organization then coordinates their own volunteers to take the meals out to the clients, who often live outside of our standard delivery area.

If you’re interested in getting your own community or company involved in satellite deliveries, contact Maria at 612-767-7331.

Special thanks to our satellite partners:
