Introduction to Volunteering
at Open Arms

Open Arms relies on caring people, giving of their time and talents, to provide nutritious meals for people living with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, MS and ALS in our community. Every week, more than 250 people help to chop carrots, make sandwiches, answer phones, serve on a committee or deliver meals. Volunteers are central to the work of Open Arms each and every day.

As a volunteer at Open Arms, we hope you will use your gifts and learn new skills. If you have even one hour each month to support the work of Open Arms, you can make a significant difference. Becoming a volunteer is easy:

Sign up to attend one of our weekly New Volunteer Orientations. You'll learn all about Open Arms of Minnesota and our available volunteer opportunities. New Volunteer Orientation dates alternate between weekday afternoons and evenings.
