Open Arms begins serving people with other illnesses

In 2005, Open Arms expanded our program to provide nutritious meals for people with ALS, MS, and for people with breast cancer who are undergoing treatment or surgery. This service is provided to participants and their families at no cost to the client.

Open Arms has been preparing and delivering nutritious meals to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, their affected caregivers and dependants since 1986. With this expansion, we are glad to open our arms to help people with other diseases, and hope to continue to open them wider.

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has generously provided funds to help Open Arms launch and improve our expansion to serve individuals in treatment for breast cancer. Their donation has not only improved what we provide to clients living with breast cancer, but has improved our service for all clients.

For more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. The Komen Foundation is fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities around the world.
