The Human Rights Campaign Presents the Brian Coyle Award to Open Arms

Minneapolis, September 30, 2006

Open Arms was presented with the Brian Coyle Leadership Award at the annual Twin Cities Human Rights Campaign (HRC) dinner this September. The Brian Coyle Leadership Award is the highest honor that the HRC bestows to a person or organization.

"Brian Coyle was a member of the GLBT community who served as a member and Vice President of the Minneapolis City Council. In his memory, the HRC has bestowed the Brian Coyle Leadership Award at its annual dinner event since 1991. Recipients exemplify the mission of the HRC in advancing the rights of GLBT individuals, ending discrimination, and working to allow all people to feel safe and secure at home, at work, and in the community."

Open Arms is honored to have been chosen as this year's recipient.
