Matching Gifts: Corporate matching gifts are an important source of funds for Open Arms. If your company has a matching gift program, please be sure to include an appropriate form with your contribution. Want to match?
United Way Giving: Although Open Arms is not an agency of the United Way, you may still designate your contributions to Open Arms through workplace giving. Simply contact your human resources or payroll department, request a Donor Designated Funds Form for United Way giving, and designate the following as the recipient of your contribution:
Open Arms of Minnesota 1414 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55404 Federal ID: 41-1681317
If forms are not available, you may write a brief letter stating your intention to designate your donation to Open Arms. Questions on designation?
In-Kind Gifts: Open Arms welcomes donations of merchandise and services - from minivans to boxes of cereal. Don't see something on our Wish List that you have to give? Ask Kent!
Cereal Drives: What a great way for your neighborhood, family, church, workplace or school to get involved. Have your group solicit boxes of cereal, which will go directly to our clients as part of their weekly delivery. An easy way to make a big impact! Interested?
Microwaves for Local Clients: Occasionally, our local clients are in need of a microwave oven in their home. Buying a new microwave? If it's in good condition, consider donating your old one to a client of Open Arms.
Supplies for South Africa: The townships of South Africa are not only in need of food, but also need basic health and hygiene items. From toothbrushes, socks and underwear to aspirin, vitamins and band-aids, Open Arms brings over a load of supplies twice a year. It's a great way to bring young children into the idea of giving.
