On Saturday, September 27, 2008, over 400 friends of the Open Arms' community came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new building. Mayor Rybak, Councilman Gary Schiff, and a longtime client and sometime volunteer, Bill Kimker, were among just a few of the passionate speakers that day. It was clear from the applause, hugs, laughter and tears that everyone understood that Open Arms is building more than just a building, we're building a program where no one who is ill in this community should ever go hungry.
Thanks to all of you for your continued support of Open Arms. We couldn't do the work we do without you!
