Breast Cancer Ride Supports Meals for Open Arms’ Breast Cancer Clients

On June 21 and 22, over 200 Riders and Crew traveled up to 150 miles of Minnesota roads and highways, through towns and countryside in nearly perfect weather.

The Ride began at 7:00 am of June 21 with an opening ceremony full of excitement and emotion at Normandale Community College in Bloomington. The Riders then traveled through beautiful southern Minnesota to their overnight stay at Treasure Island Resort and Casino where there was fabulous food, great fun and good friends. The following day was a challenging trip up numerous hills in high winds to the tearful and cheerful closing ceremony. Open Arms wants to thank everyone involved for their time, their sweat , their tears. The first Breast Cancer Ride may now be just a memory, but the hard work of the bikers and crew is still paying off. Proceeds from the inaugural 150-mile bike ride are providing meals for our breast cancer clients and making it possible for us to enroll additional clients.
