Create food that nourishes
Chopping fresh, organic veggies and packaging savory soup in our brand new, state-of-the-art kitchen; baking mouthwatering cookies in our warm, sunny bakery – there’s plenty to be done at Open Arms. Join us as a kitchen volunteer for a 2-hour shift and work with our chefs to create delicious, nutritious food for our clients.
If you’ve already attended
New Volunteer Orientation, your next step towards the kitchen is registering for Kitchen Training. Food safety and personal safety are top priorities in the Open Arms kitchen, so you must attend this special training before you can assist with meal preparation or packaging.
Once you’re trained in and ready to cook, check out our
open shifts – you can sign up for general kitchen shifts, baking shifts, soup packaging shifts and more.
